Dutch Still Life was first created for a very good friend of mine - and we both adore the Dutch Still Life tradition paintings of the 1600s. There is something so beautifully restrained in the exquisitely rendered textural surfaces and the pale, North European light that suffuses these compositions.
Dutch Still Life forms a perfect neutral with hints of copper, brown, teal-y turquoise and indigo; will knit out to a delicate, tweeded effect - and will work well with all kinds of blues, browns and warmer, autumnal tones.
