Conebush

I am ever a fan of the Conebush - Leucodendron Salignum or also known as 'sunshine conebushes': these plants occur throughout the Cape Fynbos kingdom here in the Cape. It's name is a beautiful indication of the colour it radiates - and a great many varieties, colour combinations and colourpops exist. They vary from highlighter green through to coral reds and finally even to deep reddish purples - but for this particular colourway I wanted to capture something of the layered fiery tones of fynbos (a favourite moment of our little family is to watch the sun set on Table Mountain, setting the fynbos tips aflame with the sun's dying rays).
